It will be a penalty shootout at Bramall Lane to decide which team is heading into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup...
Four minutes of added time...
Time is running out for either side to find the winner now. Penalties await otherwise!
Adams goes close again
A brilliant break from Armando Broja down the right, but his low ball across goal is just out of the reach of a sliding Ché Adams.
Foderingham somehow denies Adams
Oh, how has he saved that?! Romain Perraud gets down the left and delivers a brilliant cross that picks out substitute Ché Adams six yards out, but his side-footed shot is somehow tipped around the post by Wes Foderingham.
McBurnie heads wide
Oli McBurnie again causing problems, as he gets on the end of another Ben Osborn delivery, but his header from this delivery bounces a yard or so wide, with Mohammed Salisu doing enough to make it a difficult opportunity for the striker.
Valery blazes over
Saints work the ball to Yan Valery on the corner of the area, but he blasts a shot well over the bar.
McBurnie levels it up
A loose pass from Lyanco gives the ball away to Oliver Norwood. He finds Ben Osborn, who chips to the back post, where Oli McBurnie is on hand to side-foot past Fraser Forster.
GOAL
Oliver McBurnie (66’) | 2 – 2

🎶 YELLOWS, YELLOWS 🎶
Great noise from the travelling Southampton fans tonight, and they're enjoying what they're seeing at the moment!
Play halted for injury
Another injury-related stoppage here, as Jayden Bogle requires treatment after going down off the ball.
SALISU PUTS SAINTS IN FRONT
Saints have turned it around. It comes from a quick corner that catches Sheffield United out, as Nathan Tella exchanges passes with James Ward-Prowse before drilling in a low ball towards the near post area, where Salisu diverts it in with his left foot. Just like Ibrahima Diallo, it's his first for the club! Get in!
GOOOAL!!!
Mohammed Salisu (53’) | 1 – 2
Saints have the ball in the net, but it's ruled out for offside
Moussa Djenepo drives into the area brilliantly and squares to Nathan Tella. His shot hits Armando Broja and drops to his feet, before the striker rolls the ball into the empty net, but he was in an offside position.
Big save from Forster!
Sheffield United almost retake the lead. Oli McBurnie drives down the inside-left and squares to Rhian Brewster, who in turn plays it to fellow substitute Ben Osborn in space 18 yards out, but Forster gets a leg to his low shot and diverts it inches wide of the post.
Second half under way
We're back in action at Bramall Lane. Will there be a winning goal, or are we heading to penalties?
HALF TIME: Sheffield United 1-1 Southampton
That's it for the first half. Enda Stevens put the hosts in front early on, but Ibrahima Diallo's header means we're level at the interval.
Pause in play while Freeman is treated
Luke Freeman is down with a knock, so play has stopped with players from both teams heading to the technical areas for a drink.
McBurnie claims for foul against Salisu
Oli McBurnie looked like he might have been tripped by Mohammed Salisu right on the corner of the area, but his appeal is waved away. If it was a foul, it looked like it might have occurred just outside the box.
Yellow Card for Lyanco Vojnovic (Southampton)
Lyanco is also cautioned following the clash with McBurnie.
Yellow Card for Oliver McBurnie (Sheffield United)
McBurnie is booked after a strong aerial challenge on Lyanco, before getting into a bit of pushing with Yan Valery.
Diallo congratulated by his teammates
A nice moment for Ibrahima Diallo, who is off the mark for Saints with that goal.
Ndiaye misses golden opportunity
Phew, that should have been another for the hosts! Iliman Ndiaye caught Lyanco in possession, before slipping past Mohammed Salisu in the box, but, with only Fraser Forster to beat from close range, he puts his shot wide of the far post.
DIALLO LEVELS WITH HIS FIRST FOR THE CLUB!
A lovely goal to bring Saints level. Yan Valery lays the ball back to Oriol Romeu 25 yards out and he clips in a lovely cross that finds Diallo, who guides a beautiful header just inside the post. We're level!
GOOOAL!!!
Ibrahima Diallo (23’) | 1 – 1
Diallo misses from close range
Oh, that was a big chance! Nathan Tella produces brilliant footwork to beat his man just outside the area, before driving into the box and firing in a low delivery across the face of goal. It finds Ibrahima Diallo on the edge of the six-yard box, but it comes to him so quickly and he diverts it past the post.
Guedioura off target from 18 yards
A dangerous bit of play from Sheffield United ends up with Oli McBurnie laying the ball back to Adlene Guedioura 18 yards out, but his first-time shot goes high and wide.
Diallo shoots over from distance
Ibrahima Diallo gets into some space about 30 yards out and goes for a spectacular right-footed drive, but it's always rising and flies well over in the end.
Saints break is broken open
Ibrahima Diallo steals the ball away from Sheffield United and finds Armando Broja. He drives forward and looks to slide in Nathan Redmond to his right, but the hosts quickly intervene before he can get a shot off.
Sheffield United close to doubling their lead
Oliver Burke breaks clear down the left and races towards Fraser Forster's near post. He tries to flick it past the keeper into the far corner, but gets it slightly wrong and the ball rolls across the six-yard box before Saints clear.
Stevens puts the Blades in front
Enda Stevens is picked out in the area by Jayden Bogle, after he had broken free down the right side of the area, and he slots in a low, left-footed shot.
GOAL
Enda Stevens (7’) | 1 – 0

Broja heads over
Saints win a free-kick out on the right, after Nathan Tella is fouled. Nathan Redmond angles the delivery towards the back post, where Armando Broja gets to it, but it's an extremely tight angle and he loops his header over.
Perraud goes close in opening stages
Nearly a wonderful start for Saints, as Mohammed Salisu plays a low pass forward that picks out the run of Romain Perraud. He cuts inside onto his right foot 18 yards out, but his low shot towards the near post is saved by Wes Foderingham.
