SETTING THE SCENE

Having faced Watford on Saturday, Saints’ latest pre-season challenge comes in the form of Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

Neither side could find a breakthrough when Saints travelled to the Hornets on Saturday, with captain James Ward-Prowse the only player coming close to finding the back of the net at Grosvenor Vale.

With three games already played in preparation for the following season, this is the first opportunity for Ralph Hasenhüttl to showcase some of the fresh talent acquired in the transfer window in front of a home crowd.

For the visitors, it has been an intense pre-season schedule, as they look to better their third place finish in Ligue 1 in the last campaign.

Having played six matches already, Monaco have claimed two victories, three draws before losing on their latest outing to Porto on Saturday.

LIVE STREAM

The game will be broadcast live to fans in the UK and Ireland only via the club’s official Facebook page, southamptonfc.com and the club app.
