Bold is Brave Episode One: The Rise of Rainbow Saints

By SFC Media time Thu 30 Jun Club

To celebrate the launch of Southampton's fearless new 2022/23 kit, the club has been exploring some of the boldest and bravest Saints fan stories for a new docuseries.

Bravery forms a core part of who we are, wanting to always push the boundaries, challenge the convention and continuously innovate.

With this season’s bold kit, we are celebrating bravery both on and off the pitch.
In the first of three episodes and as part of Pride Month, Oriol Romeu and Laura Rafferty sit down with Rainbow Saints supporters Max Lindsay and Emma Townley to discuss the stigma and solidarity they have experienced as LGBTQ+ football fans.

Football has come a long way in recent years. But, from homophobic chants and comments to feeling like they don’t belong, Max Lindsay and Emma Townley have experienced just how far we still have to go.

Watch the full episode to learn how Rainbow Saints are taking a stand – starting conversations, calling out ignorance and making sure everyone feels empowered to bring their complete selves to St Mary’s.
