The year may be coming to an end, but our focus is on the future as SAINTS brings down the curtain on 2020.

Southampton’s matchday programme is back for the visit of West Ham to St Mary’s on Tuesday 29th December, as young forward Nathan Tella takes centre stage.

The 21-year-old discusses his quest to nail down a first-team place, and the impact of Saints’ B team initiative on the club’s next generation.

Elsewhere, we look back on a year of great progress for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side with Saints’ top 10 moments of 2020, including redemption at Leicester, Theo Walcott’s return and the night Saints hit the Premier League summit for the first time.

Off the pitch, Saints Foundation round up their considerable contribution in helping the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic in what has been an immensely challenging period.

Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl previews another night under the lights at St Mary’s, while Walcott talks about the role of a No. 10 in Hasenhüttl’s 4-2-2-2 system, and how he’s adapting to the position.

Sam Tighe takes a tactical look at how David Moyes has transformed West Ham in his first 12 months in the job, and what Saints should expect from a team they are yet to beat in Hasenhüttl’s reign.

Meanwhile, club historian David Bull recalls the hectic festive schedules of yesteryear, while Barry Webb offers a first-person account of his first taste of a socially-distanced St Mary’s matchday, after fans temporarily returned to the stadium after a nine-month absence.

The 68-page edition of SAINTS, priced at £3.50, is available now. Supporters are encouraged to buy online, though delivery cannot be guaranteed in time for matchday.

A discounted subscription offer for the second half of the season is also available online, with postage included in the cost.
