The manager heaped plenty of praise on a stylish Southampton performance on the final day of the Premier League season, watching his side sign off with an emphatic win over Sheffield United.
It wasn't without its troubles early on, as Saints fell behind to a John Lundstram goal and needed a series of good saves from Alex McCarthy to keep them in the tie.
But the hosts really dialled up the pressure in the second period, with forward pairing Ché Adams (2) and Danny Ings sharing the goalscoring between them. The strike took Ings's seasonal tally to 22, one shy of Jamie Vardy, who sealed the crown for the Golden Boot.
"The way we played in the second half was really really good," Hasenhüttl reflected.

a fantastic game from my side to be honest, really nice to watch and a deserved win.
"We found the right solutions and stayed patient. We have the quality to cause such teams problems, also at home.

"We waited for the right moments, which is something we've learnt in this period. Getting better and better and this is what we have do to. Next season we want to be higher.
"I've spoken about Ché [Adams], I always knew he was going to score goals. This is the reason we bought him. He's definitely in a good way, but he still needs time. I'm sure next season he can score a lot of goals for us.
"Unbelievable from Danny [Ings] again today. 22 goals is a massive message - next season he starts again and if he stays fit there's no reason why he can't do it again."
