Support Saints on Women's Football Weekend

Be part of our Women’s Football Weekend celebrations on Sunday when Southampton host AFC Bournemouth in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Cup.

Virgin Media are paying for fans attending the game to have a free burger and drink, for the first 1,000 supporters to buy a ticket, with prices only £3 for adults and £1 for under-18s.

Sitting top of the table and still fighting in four separate competitions, be part of the action at AFC Totton’s Snows Stadium:

Saints fall to Everton defeat

Southampton suffered defeat on their return to St Mary’s, with Everton leaving on Saturday with all three points.

The visitors took an early lead courtesy of Tom Davies, before Danny Ings levelled things up five minutes into the second half.

With the game finely balanced, Richarlison grabbed what proved to be the winner with 15 minutes remaining, meaning the hosts will head into the international break on the back of defeat in the Premier League.

Spend Christmas with the stars

Tickets are selling fast for a night of fine dining and festive fun with former Southampton stars in December.

Taking place at St Mary’s on Wednesday 18th December, those in attendance will enjoy arrival drinks, a delicious three course festive menu, live music and much more.

Of course, guests will also be suitably entertained by tales from former players, with Matt Le Tissier, Franny Benali and James Beattie all confirmed with more Saints starts still to be announced.

Benali becomes Club Ambassador

Southampton legend Franny Benali has been appointed as an official Club Ambassador.

The former left-back earned iconic status at Saints during a memorable 15-year career with the first-team, and will now represent the club through a variety of community and commercial activity.

Southampton-born Benali’s achievements extend well beyond the football pitch, though, with the 50-year-old having recently broken his £1m fundraising target for Cancer Research UK, after completing the last of three ultra-endurance challenges in aid of the charity.

Under-23s claim cup victory

Southampton Under-23s picked up a commanding 3-1 win from their Premier League Cup meeting with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Kornelius Hansen opened the scoring, only for Forest to level things up just under 10 minutes later.

However, goals from Jake Vokins and Christoph Klarer secured the three points, building on the 1-1 draw with Stoke last month.

Jaïdi heads to the US

Lead Under-23s Coach Radhi Jaïdi has reached an agreement in principle to join USL Championship team Hartford Athletic as part of a 12-month secondment.

The move signals the first stage of developing a partnership between Hartford Athletic and the Southampton Academy, which may in the future involve player loans.

Current Under-23s Assistant Coach David Horseman will lead the Under-23s on an interim basis and be supported by Head of Player Development David Hughes.

Under-18s win at Reading

Southampton Under-18s picked up an important 2-1 away win at Reading on Saturday in the Under-18 Premier League.

Goals from Jayden Smith and Marco Rus ensured the three points would head back to Hampshire, leapfrogging their opponents in the table.

Victory leaves Saints' youngsters ninth in the table.
