Sofiane Boufal played an hour as Morocco were beaten 2-1 at home by the Netherlands in a friendly.

Boufal started the clash, in Agadir, before being withdrawn by Mehdi Carcela-González after the interval.

The Dutch took the lead through Quincy Promes midway through the first half, before Vincent Janssen doubled the lead in the 68th minute.

Mbark Boussoufa pulled one back for Morocco a few minutes later, but the visitors held on.

The game acted as a tune-up ahead of Morocco’s opening match of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying, against Cameroon, on Thursday 8th June.
