Southampton Under-18s were well beaten on Saturday afternoon as they lost 5-1 to Leicester City in the Barclays Under-18 Premier League.
Buoyed by two wins in their last three fixtures, Saints were undone by the ruthless Foxes away from home, going 3-0 down before half time.
The opening goal came from Josh Eppiah as he fired home from just inside the box with 20 minutes on the clock.
The forward then doubled the lead for the hosts seven minutes before the break and it was three shortly after as Admiral Muskwe fired home.
The striker added his second and Leicester’s fourth just before the hour mark as Saints failed to cope with their opponent’s pace going forward.
Thomas O’Connor did give Saints some consolation as he squeezed the ball home from a tight angle with just under 15 minutes left.
But Muskwe completed his hat-trick with just three minutes of normal time remaining to condemn Saints to a second defeat in a row.
