By SFC Media time Thu 25 Jun First team

Saints will round off their schedule of summer friendlies with a home game against RCD Espanyol.

The Spanish side will visit St Mary’s on Sunday 2nd August, with the game getting under way at 3pm BST.

Coincidentally, Espanyol were Southampton’s first opponents when the new stadium opened 14 years ago, playing out a 4-3 victory in August 2001.

Ticketing arrangements for the match will be announced in due course, with the game set to go on sale next month.

The clash concludes a friendly timetable that also sees Ronald Koeman’s men travel to Austria and Holland next month.
