Clyne and Bertrand could face Pellè in Turin

Nine Southampton players could line up for their countries on Tuesday, with three of them likely to face each other.

The highlight of the day’s international fixtures sees Italy welcome England to Turin for a friendly, where Graziano Pellè could go toe-to-toe with Saints teammates Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand (kick-off 7.45pm BST).

At 11.25am BST, Maya Yoshida’s Japan are in action against Uzbekistan in Tokyo before goalkeeper Cody Cropper and his American compatriots face Switzerland at 5pm BST.

Half an hour later, young midfielder Callum Slattery is likely to feature for England Under-16s when they take on their Mexican counterparts in the Montaigu Tournament, whilst Belgium’s Toby Alderweireld could play in their UEFA EURO 2016 Group B qualifier against Israel at 7.45pm BST.

Sadio Mané and his Senegal teammates will take on French club Le Havre AC in a friendly, also kicking off at 7.45pm BST, whilst captain José Fonte’s Portugal will be looking for a repeat of their qualifying victory over Serbia last time out when they play the Cape Verde Islands in a friendly an hour later.
