LOAN WATCH: Late winner denies Robins duo point

Saints duo Jordan Turnbull and Jack Stephens were part of the Swindon Town side that slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to Crawley Town on Saturday.

A Gavin Tomlin winner two minutes from time stole the points for the Red Devils, who had led through an early Anthony Wordsworth strike before being pegged back by Andy Williams.

Both players played the entire game, though 20-year-old Turnbull did pick up a yellow card in the process.

The result leaves the Robins in third place and five points off the automatic promotion places in League One, although they do have a game in hand on second-placed MK Dons.

Meanwhile, in the Championship, Jos Hooiveld helped Millwall keep a clean sheet in their goalless draw with Fulham.

The Dutch defender, who has penned a loan deal at the Den until the end of the season, also played the full 90 minutes for Ian Holloway’s side who, despite picking up a point against the Cottagers, are still three points from safety.

In the same division, Polish goalkeeper Artur Boruc endured a miserable afternoon as AFC Bournemouth were beaten 3-1 at Brentford.

The 35-year-old had to pick Jonathan Douglas, Alex Pritchard and Chris Long strikes out of his net as the Cherries suffered an away-day disaster, though they remain just three points off the summit.

Gaston Ramírez came on in the 53rd minute of Hull City’s 2-1 win over 10-man QPR at the weekend.

The Uruguayan international helped Steve Bruce’s Tigers capitalise on the sending off of Joey Barton to claim all three points at the KC Stadium, which they did thanks to Dame N’Doye’s last-minute winner.

Neither Will Britt nor Dani Osvaldo were involved for Maidenhead United or Boca Juniors in their respective fixtures, though Italian international Osvaldo was an unused substitute for the Argentinian giants in their 2-0 win over Temperley.
